TECHNOLOGIES FOR CLEANER WATER

The wastewater industry has seen how nutrients have exposed the limits of existing solutions. We design and supply the next wave of proven technologies for cleaner water so municipalities and industries can confidently meet and exceed every treatment need.

When wastewater plants get tighter regulations (or even when their aging infrastructure can no longer meet existing regulations), their engineers turn to us to help them produce low carbon, phosphorus or nitrogen concentrations. We offer proprietary technologies like the SAGR, which allows lagoon-based plants to produce non-detect ammonia levels in <1°C water, or like Blue PRO reactive phosphorus filtration, which allows Citronelle AL to beat the lowest phosphorus limit in North America (0.022 mg/L). These, along with the rest of our proven portfolio, make us a leader in clean water technologies.

Our understanding of the following three traits sets us apart:

Responsive service and technologies:

Our team strives to make our customers' lives easier by providing responsive service, with design support and drawings that keep projects on track. Our portfolio of proprietary technologies is responsive as well, focused on addressing the contaminants and nutrients that regulators are targeting today and into the future.

At home in the heat:

We understand hot water presents unique dynamics that are often believed to be insurmountable. We know they can, because at our office in Riyadh, KSA, we annually see the hottest and longest summers of Middle East, and its in those conditions that our technologies have been proven.

Research and performance:

We only promise what we have proven we can reliably deliver. We can provide years of data from dozens of full-scale installations, have been approved by the most rigorous regulators on the continent, and have the testimony of recognized academic authorities. All this, to give you the confidence that what we supply will work.

Our vision is for every drop of wastewater in the world to meet the highest nutrient standards at the lowest possible energy footprint.

As NEI, we ensure all wastewater plant operators sleep easy at night through a relentless commitment to proven innovation, best in class technologies and customer service.

We are proud of the history that we get the chance to write every day.

…when Environmental Dynamics International (EDI) is founded by Charles E. Tharp, a Columbia, Missouri-based company that quickly becomes a global competitor in biological wastewater treatment and advanced diffused aeration systems for municipal and industrial clients.

Winnipeg, MB-based Nelson Environmental was founded by Martin Hildebrand, P.Eng, to focus on the underserved lagoon market and equipping these low O&M facilities favoured by small- to mid-sized communities and industrial clients with the tools needed to meet tomorrow’s effluent requirements.

Initially registered as a temporary licensed entity intended to serve a F/M contract with The Royal Commission of Riyadh City (RCRC) at Wadi Hanifa Bioremediation Facility.

With the acquisition of Nelson Environmental by XPV Water Partners, the acquisition of the assets of Blue Water Technologies, the resulting launch of a full-line of nutrient- and solids-focused filtration technologies, the company emerged with a new name: Nexom.

Conversion process of Nelson Environmental - KSA from temporary licensed entity to a branch then to a Limited Liability Company (LLC). Intended to serve the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region.

Two of the biggest private equity firms active in the wastewater industry, KKR (through its Global Impact fund) and XPV Water Partners joined forces to use Nexom (alongside Environmental Operating Solutions, Inc., or EOSi) to form a new water quality platform. Axius Water, as it is now known, was created to address United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #6 by addressing the global wastewater nutrient crisis.

With the acquisition of EDI by Axius Water and its integration into Nexom, EDI continues to offer “aeration for life” through its engineered aeration technologies, and the combination of the two companies instantly creates a globally-competitive nutrient management leader offering an ever-broadening range of category-leading technologies.
